Caitlin Ryland ~ Managing Attorney ~ Email
Caitlin Ryland is a Supervising Attorney with the Farmworker Unit of Legal Aid of North Carolina. She is currently serving her third term on the North Carolina Human Trafficking Commission and is the Project Director for Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative. She has previously served in a leadership capacity in the North Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking, the Rapid Response Team of the Triangle, and the Farmworker Advocacy Network. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Swarthmore College and her Juris Doctor and Health Law Certificate from the University of Maryland, School of Law.
Aaron Jacobson ~ Supervising Attorney ~ Email
Aaron Jacobson is a staff attorney with the Farmworker Unit of Legal Aid of North Carolina. He joined the FWU in November of 2017. Aaron primarily works on employment law cases, such as unpaid wages cases and cases involving violations of H-2A regulations, and immigration cases, primarily with victims of human trafficking and other violent crimes. Before joining the FWU he worked as an attorney with the Battered Immigrant Project of Legal Aid of North Carolina for approximately four years, where he also represented victims of human trafficking and other violent crimes. He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law. Prior to attending law school, he worked as an organizer, or field representative, for the Farm Labor Organizing Committee for several years.

Megan Garcia-Davis attended law school at North Carolina Central University, where she was president of the Hispanic Law Student Association. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Child & Family Studies and Peace & Social Justice Studies from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky.
Michael Boyd ~ Staff Attorney ~ Email
Michael Boyd graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2021 and, prior to joining the Farmworker Unit, was an attorney with Legal Aid’s Tenant Eviction Diversion program. Before law school, he worked in politics, state government, and labor.

Directions from Downtown Raleigh:
The Legal Aid building is at the corner of S. Dawson and Martin Sts., next to the Raleigh Fire Station, directly across from Nash Square park.
There is street metered parking for 1-2 hours on Martin, S. Dawson and Hargett St. There is also a parking deck on the corner of S. Dawson and Morgan. Parking is free after 5 p.m.
Directions from Chapel Hill:
Take I 40 East toward Raleigh. Exit onto Wade Ave., Exit 289. Follow Wade Ave. through several stoplights and take a right exit onto Capital Blvd. South toward downtown, also Hwy 50 and Hwy 70. Continue in the right lane on Capital Blvd. Capital will turn into S. Dawson St.
Directions from Durham:
Take Durham Freeway (Hwy 147) to I 40 East toward Raleigh. Exit onto Wade Ave., Exit 289. Follow Wade Ave. through several stoplights and take a right exit onto Capital Blvd. South toward downtown, also Hwy 50 and Hwy 70. Continue in the right lane on Capital Blvd. Capital will turn into S. Dawson St.
Directions from Rocky Mount, Wilson:
Take Hwy 64 West toward Raleigh. (From Wilson, take 264 W to 64 W) Past Knightdale, and into Raleigh, Hwy 64 will turn into New Bern Ave. Follow New Bern Ave. into downtown Raleigh. New Bern will turn into Edenton St. Take a left onto S. Dawson at the Holiday Inn.
Directions from Benson:
Take Hwy 40 West toward Raleigh. Follow the 440 Inner Beltline toward Durham Exit onto Exit 298B South Saunders St. Take a right off of the exit and follow into downtown Raleigh. S. Saunders St. will turn into McDowell St. Pass the park on your left and turn left onto Hargett St. Take a left onto S. Dawson St. at the next block.
